Our school has a night at the end of the school year where the 8th graders come to the high school and learn about the different activities. We get tons of younger members this way. This last year we had our National qualifiers talk to 8th graders about why they should join and the benefits of FCCLA. 

We have a week at the beginning of the school year to help recruit members for the coming uo school year. This school year our theme was “FCCLA is Out of This World”. Each day was a different space theme, based on the day you joined you got that day's treat and the treats everyday after. At the end of the week we had a movie night where we watched “Lightyear”. 

We have a week where students get to follow dress up themes. This helps promote FCCLA to the whole school in a super fun way. It also highlights different aspects of FCCLA with the dress up themes. 

If you’re in FFA and FCCLA you get a discount on your affiliation fees. This gives more incentive for FFA and FCCLA members to be in both.

The lock in is a great way to recruit members. In order to attend you must be a fully affiliated chapter member. This event is held overnight at the high school, from 8pm-6am. We play games around the school, watch movies, and eat snacks.
